The Caustic Cover Critic found some awesome Japanese covers.

Pechorin’s Journal has an excellent review of a Hungarian “masterpiece.” His review also provides a nice overview via links (in the body and in comments) of others’ reviews too.

A Striped Armchair discusses several books with unreliable narrators and asks for the names of others.

Hilary Spurling has a review of “Peal Buck in China” that has me wanting to read The Good Earth soon.

The essay was okay, but worth it for this line: “There is nothing so profound as an unread library.
